Tomorrow afternoon, I’m meeting up with Irene from designstILes. Yeah, I’m pretty excited about it.
Irene and I have been blogging buddies since around the beginning of this year (remember when I had her guest post about her favorite items in her home, here?). She’s up in SF for a mini-vacay with her hubs, and was kind enough to ask me to get together. I can’t wait to meet up in person! I anticipate that she will be very funny and sweet, say witty, observant things, and in turn, I will cackle a lot. Behavior may increase upon consumption of a second cocktail.
We’re going to Rickhouse, which is one of my favorite places in the city to grab a legit, well made beverage. It’s also just a really cool space inside.
The big plan is to meet downtown, enjoy a libation at Rickhouse (let’s be clear: we will NOT be taking down a punch bowl on our own), then if all goes well and I don’t embarrass myself or say something really awkward, we’ll high tail it to a wine bar across town, where our respective significant others may also join in on the fun.
Jealousy is natural.
I’m going to try to remember to bring my camera, so with any luck, there may be actual evidence of our meetup for all to see. Stay tuned!

Soooo fun! Have a blast! Xo
So exciting! Jealous you get to meet Irene, and Rickhouse sounds fabulous. Have fun!!
No punch bowl of our own?!? Meeting’s off. : )
Whoa, this place sounds way fabulous and looks super cool. I’m sooooooo looking forward to meeting you. Pressure’s on to make you cackle. I need to work on some material. : )
That looks like so much fun… I want to get some punch bowls like that for home!
Very jealous. The punch bowls sound like a MUCH classier version of the electric red “fish bowls” that one of our college bars used to serve with plastic toy animals hanging over the edge {obviously}.
PS. I still have yet to be FREED. I now how you felt because between the meltdown yesterday and today, I’ve had about a bajillion things I wanted to tweet you…
Awesome, saving Rickhouse as a place to hit up when I’m there in three weeks! (Just decided today to go visit the sister.)
Any other suggestions for me? Pretty pretty please?
Oh and if you want to say… shop or drink alcohol with me… I should be there Nov 1-6.
You guys are going to have a blast. I’m dyin to meet Mrs “Stiles” in person.
Have fun ladies! Just heard from Jessica from Birdie to Be that your thinking of doing another little meet up. I’m so in, just let me know when and where :)
