The touch, the feel, of cotonnier

If there’s one French store that I wish would make its way to SF, it’s Comptoir des Cotonniers. The boutiques, which can be found all over France and Europe with just a few stateside, is the go to place if you’re looking for easy, simple pieces to pull off that effortless-chic French girl look. I popped into one of the stores in Aix, and it was all I could do not to run out of there completely penniless. Their summer colors are perfection! I’m digging the warm, cheery shades in this year’s collection, from the lighter pinky corals all the way to rusty vermillion red. I want those eyelet shorts baaaaad.

The really awful news? Even though Comptoir des Cotonniers has a retail front online, they don’t ship to the US — yet. There are, however, three boutiques in Manhattan. So the next time you’re in the Big Apple (and for all you lucky ducks who already are), stock up!

I imagine this is how people must’ve felt before Zara came to the US, no?

I live in New York and I’ve never heard of this shop! From the looks of these gorgeous pieces though, I think it will suck my bank account dry with all it’s goodness–I’m definitely going to have to go!

Went into the same one in Aix, probably just around when you were there, and bought the cutest little black dress with white birds on it. But I love that color blocked dress on the left. I wish I’d seen that!
