Splurge/Save: 7 Shoes for Spring

spring 2014 shoes

FLORAL PRINTED: Splurge, Save | POWDER BLUE: Splurge, Save | SHINY GOLD: Splurge, Save | SNAKE: Splurge, Save | GLITTER CAPS: Splurge, Save | NEON PASTELS: Splurge, Save | CRAZY/FUN: Splurge, Save

First, thanks so much for all the kind comments on yesterday’s post. You put these things out into the world and kind of assume (hope?) you’re not alone — but it’s always nice to get the support and feedback. Thanks for reading!

Second, how about some frivolity today to counterbalance the seriousness? Believe it or not, spring merchandising is in full effect both in window displays and online, and I’m sorry to say I have zero immunity to it. Maybe it’s all the bright colors, maybe it’s the thought of wearing a sandal, but I’m excited for the change in season (and my first spring here in NY). I was browsing around (window shopping, really) on Net-A-Porter recently, and was wowed by so many of their insane shoe offerings (hello, hello). It got me to thinking: could I find more affordable options elsewhere — and would they be as stunning (I think yes and yes!)? But you decide! Supposing there was no budget…would you splurge or save with these pretty spring shoe options?

I die for the Gianvito Rossi pumps, but the Givenchy Florals aren’t bad either ;)

Glitter caps and snake I’d save, powder blue I’d splurge! All over suede in a light color makes me nervous, but mostly I just like how sleek the Gianvito Rossi pumps are!
