I’m a mid-20 something San Franciscan by way of Austin (with a quick stopover in Los Angeles). I studied business administration in college, which in hindsight was playing it way too safe. After college, I went back to school and got a culinary degree, which in hindsight was pretty darn ballsy.
I started writing VMAC + Cheese in the early summer of 2008, when I desperately needed a creative outlet to share stories about my life and my interests — specifically food.
But here’s the thing: if you love food, and you love to eat, the odds are pretty good that you generally love the good life. That’s how I like to think of this here site: musings on a life worth living.
Since 2008, I’ve expanded VMAC + Cheese to include posts on design, media and photography along with the original focus on food & wine news, essays and recipes. Along the way, there’ll be takes on my relationship (journey?) with my lovable, hilarious, and extraordinarily intelligent buddy Joe.
Food. Wine. Design. Media. Love. Yup, that pretty much sums things up.
So welcome. Pull up a chair, have a glass of rosé and dive right in. The water’s just fine.
