The last few days have been lovely and warm in the afternoon. It’s like SF is giving it all it’s got to make us not want to move this weekend. “Don’t go!” it says, “I can try really hard to have good weather! See? Look! Sun!”
So I threw the city a bone and broke out some polka dot shorts I recently bought in anticipation of the hot Manhattan summer. Don’t tell New York that I let SF get the shorts first, ok?

Saturday was such a perfect spring day in the city. Not cold enough to really need a jacket (especially in the sun), not a cloud in the sky — weather like that just makes everyone feel good. The general sentiment amongst city dwellers was that we had not a care in the world, and the smiles we saw on faces all day proved it.
Maybe one person had a slight care. Joe managed to get a pinched nerve in his neck on Friday, and had already had one very painful chiropractic appointment. On Saturday, we went in for round two. Ohhhh San Francisco in February. How I love thee. It’s funny how in SF, some of the best months of the year weather wise take place when the rest of the country is completely frigid and everyone is counting the days til they can thaw out. This weekend was no exception – both days saw temps in the 60s, and it was sunny and beautiful and ripe for relaxing.
On Saturday, I spent the morning helping out my girl Jillian at a photoshoot for the new Sweet & Spark lookbook. Remember when I told you about Jillian here and here? Well, let me just say, having now seen the entire collection of baubles she brought in for this shoot…wow. Just wow. Girlfriend is seriously good at finding amazing vintage pieces, and if you’re a fan of costume jewelry, you’re going to be blown away by some of the new things she has in the shop.
