A little congratulations are in order for today’s featured blogger — as Courtney mentioned on her blog Girl Avant Garde, her and her man behind the blog Josh very recently got engaged! And if you ask me, she’s snapped up a good one. Josh takes all her outfit photographs for her blog, and has been her biggest supporter since she started blogging in June of last year. And, his response when she mentioned she was starting a blog was basically the same response Joe had when I first started out (as are many of his other answers!) so since Joe has refused to participate in this column, assume Josh is a nearly perfect stand-in. Are Christina and I living in some bizarre, parallel universe? To wit: her boyfriend Raja has a serious thing for watches. Joe does too (one of his Christmas gifts last year was a Watch Time magazine subscription. For real.). They have a cat named Mischa. Um, that was one of my cat’s names growing up. She writes the gorgeous blog Oh So Glam. I pen a column of the same name over here. Little coincidences, but still kinda funny, no? I was so excited to learn more about today’s Man Behind the Blog. Lexi, of Glitter & Pearls fame, is a blogger I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know over the last year and some change, both through work stuff (as a client and as a contributor for The B Bar!), and in person as well (when we met in New York last fall it was magical). I’ve always known her to be a Type A go-getter (lawyer by day, blogger by night), but was even more astounded to hear what a Type A her husband was too. Just wait til you read what his ‘day job’ is. Birds of a feather, right? Anyway, it was fantastic to learn more about this dynamic duo, and how Mike’s late adoption of Facebook helped her win a major social media contest! Read more »
