I was on the bus on Monday night when I noticed the girl next to me carrying a bag from the local cupcake shop Susie Cakes. It took me a minute to even recognize the bag, because the shop apparently has gone through a major re-branding and logo design. I was so taken with the playful mix of dark coral pink and robin’s egg blue that it got me scheming up other ways to incorporate these colors into the everyday.
(And as a side note, let this be another lesson in the power of good branding. Susie Cake’s previous logo was cute, but nowhere near as fresh as their new one! It’s memorable, punchy, and definitely inspiring.)
I’m loving the West Elm glasses, and those Brian Atwood’s. One of these is more affordable than the other. I’ll give you two guesses, but you’ll only need one.
1. Coral stripe stitched jumper, $44 | 2. Colorblock Tribal Thread Bangle, $24 | 3. Kay by Joia, $55 | 4. Tufted Paisley Rug in Pool, $99-$499, and Travelers’ Kilim Rug in Warm, $129-$599 | 5. Dimpled Glassware Set, $24 | 6. Amorphous Nesting Table Set, $898 | 7. Brian Atwood Embroidered Pumps, $2115
